RIG 01
AMERICAN CLEAN
A boutique-style clean head through its matching 2x12. The sound I reach for when the part has to sit under a vocal without fighting it.
Mics: large-diaphragm condenser and a dynamic, both roughly centred on the speaker, blended into two Neve 1073 preamps.
Crunch: JHS Morning Glory into a Cornerstone Centurio.
Solo: the same pair plus the Cornerstone Antique.
The amp itself never moves. Everything between clean, crunch and solo happens in front of it.
RIG 02
BRITISH CHIME
A 2x12 combo with alnico blue speakers, one dynamic mic sitting off the dust cap towards the cone. No pedals in front — this amp makes its own dirt.
Top boost input. Reverb and tremolo off for every capture.
Clean, crunch and drive are the same amp at three volume settings. Nothing else changes.
NOTHING HIDDEN
Every position is documented, so you can set your own amp the same way — or hear exactly what you are buying.

HOW THESE WERE MADE
Reamped, not guessed
The test signal goes back out through a reamp box into the real amp, so the capture sees what your guitar will.
Trained and checked
Each model was trained, then played against the live amp in the same session until it matched.
At real volume
Captured at 100 dB in the room. An amp at bedroom level does not sound like an amp.
RUNNING IN FOUR STEPS

Load a player
Any NAM-compatible plugin. The official NAM plugin and the TONE3000 plugin are free and both play A2 captures.

Save the files
Unzip the pack somewhere permanent — not your Downloads folder.

Open a capture
Point the plugin at a .nam file. Nothing in front of it, no cab sim in your interface.

Set your input
A capture reacts to level like the real amp. Move the input trim until the feel is right.
WILL THIS RUN ON MY RIG?
Yes
- Any DAW on macOS 10.15 or later, or Windows 10 64-bit or later
- The free NAM or TONE3000 plugin, standalone or in your DAW
- Hardware that reads .nam files — HeadRush, Hotone, Valeton, Blackstar, MOD and others
No
- Quad Cortex, Kemper and Fractal use their own capture formats and cannot load .nam files
- Older A1-only players — these captures are Architecture 2
